Sip this velvety, warming, and delicious concoction any time you need a little calming and nourishing boost. The blend of anti-inflammatory ayurvedic spices found in this golden milk aids digestion, athletic recovery, and stress management, which makes it perfect for an everyday sipping ritual.
This recipe calls for the addition of a protein powder, which is especially important for the muscle healing properties of this drink. I recommend using a plain or vanilla collagen powder or a vanilla plant-based protein. I’ve found the vanilla protein powders complement the other spices well while adding a little sweetness. The two flavored protein powders linked above are good options, but there are tons of solid options on the market. Just be aware many flavored protein powders have a lot of added sugar, so double check the label.
When choosing a milk option, I encourage opting for something that has some fat in it which will help with hormone balance. If you love the flavor profile of this golden milk, check out my Turmeric Spiced Chia Seed Pudding, it’s a great breakfast or snack.
